July 29, 2010, 2:00-3:15 pm (EDT): Benchmarking Water/Wastewater Plants in Portfolio Manager
This ENERGY STAR webcast will show participants how to track the progress of energy efficiency efforts and compare the energy use of wastewater treatment plants to other peer facilities across the country. Attendees will learn how to measure and track energy use and carbon dioxide emission reductions in wastewater treatment plants to establish baseline energy use, prioritize investments, set goals, and track improvements over time. This session will be repeated on September 23, 2010.

August 3, 2010, 2:00-3:00 pm (EDT): Benchmarking in Portfolio Manger for State and Local Governments
This session will review EPA’s online energy management tool, Portfolio Manager, which allows you track the progress of energy efficiency efforts and compare the energy use of your buildings to peer buildings across the country. Attendees will learn how to measure and track energy use and carbon dioxide emission reductions to establish baseline energy use, prioritize investments, set goals, and track improvements over time. This session will be repeated on September 9, 2010.

August 4, 2010, 2:00-3:15 pm (EDT): Financing Energy Efficient Upgrades with Energy Star
Learn how public sector organizations are improving energy efficiency with innovative solutions to financial barriers. Attendees will learn about financing projects in the public and private sectors, the basics of performance contracting, and how EPA’s tools and resources can help you make the decision to improve your facilities now or later. August 18, 2010, 1:00-2:00 pm (EDT): Purchasing and Procuring Efficient Equipment
ENERGY STAR will host this webcast covering resources to help your organization purchase products with superior energy performance, guidelines that define energy performance for numerous products, sample procurement language, and software that calculates the life cycle costs of products. This session will be repeated on September 15, 2010.

August 25, 2010, 2:00-3:30 pm (EDT): ENERGY STAR and Green Building Rating Programs
During this session, attendees will learn how to use EPA tools and resources to help meet requirements for green building rating systems such as the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), the Green Globes system, and others. This session will be repeated on September 16, 2010.

August 31, 2010, 2:00-3:00 pm (EDT): K-12 Benchmarking 101
EPA will host this webcast to teach attendees the basics of benchmarking K-12 buildings using EPA’s Portfolio Manager tool. Portfolio Manager can help measure and track energy and water use across an entire portfolio of buildings. Buildings can earn an energy performance rating as compared to peer facilities across the country, and top performing buildings are eligible for national recognition. This session will be repeated on September 29, 2010.

Additional Webcast Opportunities

July 29, 2010, 3:00-4:15 (EDT): Resources and Tools for Petroleum Reduction in the Transportation Sector
At the July 28 DOE Technical Assistance Program (TAP) Webinar, you will learn how to use online tools published by the DOE Alternative Fuels & Advanced Vehicles Data Center (AFDC) for petroleum reduction projects. The AFDC offers state and local officials a collection of online tools, including databases, interactive maps that locate alternative fuel stations, cost calculators, and more.
