The West Coast Climate and Materials Management Forum (co-led by EPA Regions 9 and 10) is hosting a series of national webinars in January. The webinars are no cost to attend and are open to program managers, policy makers, recyclers, haulers, decision-makers, elected officials, and others concerned with solid waste management and climate action planning.
January 6th: Webinar on Climate, Materials and Measurement
In preparation for our upcoming Annual Forum Meeting on January. 10-11, we will be hosting an introductory webinar on January 6th from 10:00-11:30am PST. Our goal is to provide a introduction to the Forum, the current status climate change and climate impacts (global overview with west coast examples of projected impacts), the connection/opportunities between climate and materials management and an update with Q&A on the WARM model. We have allotted time for an optional 30 minutes of additional Q&A on the WARM model from 11:30am – 12:00pm PST for those interested.

The West Coast Climate and Materials Management Forum is a collaborative partnership of government stakeholders from Western States and Cities along with EPA Regions 9 and 10 who are committed to:
- Providing state, local and tribal governments with tools for climate action planning
- Influencing national and regional policy on climate change
- Advancing priority chemical and materials management research
Since their first Annual Meeting in 2008, Forum participants have focused their efforts on sharing information and developing resources for measuring GHG reductions and developing climate action plans using waste and materials management lifecycle thinking.
