Census Bureau releases special edition of Profile America: Facts for Features in advance of Earth Day

The U.S. Census Bureau’s Facts for Features and Special Editions consist of collections of statistics from the Census Bureau’s demographic and economic subject areas intended to commemorate anniversaries or observances or to provide background information for topics in the news. The most recent edition is for Earth Day. Below are some of the facts they cite.

Estimated revenue for “residential nonhazardous recyclable collection services” in 2010 for U.S. employer firms was up 26.5 percent from 2009.
